Labeling Process for Cosmetic Plastic Bottles
2024-12-11

In the production process of cosmetic plastic bottles, the labeling process is a crucial link. It not only concerns the aesthetics of the product and the transmission of information but also directly affects consumers' purchasing experience and the product's market competitiveness. As a manufacturer of cosmetic plastic bottles, we are fully aware of the importance of the labeling process and continuously optimize and upgrade our labeling technology to meet the diverse needs of our customers.

Preparations Before Labeling

Before labeling, we need to prepare a series of tasks. Firstly, we ensure the cleanliness and smoothness of the bottle surface. Plastic bottles may have residues of oil, dust, or other impurities during manufacturing, which can affect the adhesion and aesthetics of the label. Therefore, we use professional cleaners and tools to thoroughly clean the bottles and ensure they are completely dry.

Secondly, we select appropriate glue or double-sided adhesive tape based on the material of the label and the characteristics of the bottle. Different label materials (such as BOPP, PE, PVC, PET, etc.) and bottle materials (such as rigid plastic, flexible plastic, etc.) have different requirements for glue. We conduct tests based on actual conditions to ensure the adhesive force and durability of the glue.

Specific Steps of the Labeling Process

Measurement and Positioning: Before labeling, we need to perform precise measurements and positioning according to the size of the label and the shape of the bottle. This usually includes determining the up-down and left-right positions of the label and whether angle adjustments are needed. Accurate measurements and positioning ensure that the label is positioned correctly on the bottle.

Applying Glue or Double-Sided Adhesive Tape: After determining the label's position, we apply an appropriate amount of glue or double-sided adhesive tape to the corresponding position on the bottle. Special attention is required for the amount and uniformity of the glue to ensure that the label can be securely attached to the bottle.

Attaching the Label: After applying the glue or double-sided adhesive tape, we can attach the label to the bottle. Special attention is required for the flatness of the label and the generation of bubbles. To avoid bubbles, we use professional labeling equipment or tools, such as rubber squeegees, to evenly press and smooth the label.

Smoothing and Fixing: After attaching the label, we further smooth and fix it. This usually involves gently pressing and smoothing the label with fingers or professional tools to ensure it is fully attached to the bottle surface without bubbles or blisters. At the same time, we trim and tidy the edges of the label as needed to enhance its aesthetics.

Application of Special Labeling Techniques

Besides conventional labeling processes, we also provide customers with special labeling services to meet their personalized needs. For example:

Aroma Labels: These labels can add aroma materials to the label surface through printing processes. When consumers tear off the label, the aroma is released. This type of label can increase product attractiveness and boost consumers' purchasing desire.

Temperature-Sensitive Labels: These labels can display different patterns or text based on temperature changes. They are commonly used on lipstick, nail polish, and other cosmetic packaging to add fun and interactivity to the product.

Glow-in-the-Dark Labels: These labels can glow in dark environments and are typically used on cosmetic packaging for nighttime use. Fluorescent materials are added to the label surface through printing processes, enhancing product recognition and attractiveness.

Quality Control of the Labeling Process

Quality control is crucial in the labeling process. We conduct strict inspections and tests on each batch of labels and bottles to ensure they meet quality requirements. At the same time, we also conduct spot checks and evaluations on the finished products after labeling to check whether indicators such as label adhesion, flatness, and aesthetics meet standards. If any quality issues are found, we immediately take measures for rectification and improvement to ensure product quality and customer satisfaction.
